RHS AGM award winner!. A truly magnificent plant when it is mature and in bloom. Flowers in late summer are thistle-like & purple. The young leaves emerge an attractive silvery colour and have a feathery appearance. They can also be eaten when blanched as for celery. Cut flowers last well in water as do the flowers. Any soil in sun. Height 2m.
