A clump-forming, perennial grass. Arching, narrow mid-green leaves which turn yellow in autumn. Feathery, maroon flower spikelets in late summer and autumn which turn silvery-grey in winter. Sunny open position. Moist but well drained soil is best. Height and spread 1.2m
